I remember Dixie when she worked for my mom and dad at
The Luncheonette. She had such a great smile and was so fun to be around. The customers really enjoyed her great personality. I can still hear Rudy Schick say her name in a squeaky high pitched funny voice, "Dixie Dixie Dixie" !!!
while he took a break from bartending across the street at the Legion sipping on a cup of coffee. She would get that huge grin on her face and kind of blush a little.
I really admired her and have fond memories.
I just yesterday learned of her passing and am saddened by the news.
Please accept my rather late condolences and my heart goes out to her family and friends.
